OFFF TALK Kiev CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT FORBES UKRAINE

Over ten years ago, Maksym Zoloyedov thought a lot about the functionality of camouflage. His particular interest was about creating a pattern for the Ukrainian armed forces. When the war with Russia broke out, this paid off: Zoloyedov designed the cover of the first magazine issue of Forbes Ukraine after the war had started using a camouflage pattern. The issue was titled “Nation of Heroes” and focused on all the protagonists within this war.

The most recent issue of the magazine features a sculpture of Anish Kapoor, who re-conceptualized one of his early works. Besides his work for Forbes, Zoloyedov has created campaigns for the United Nations on eliminating violence against women and promoting gender equality, sustainability, as well as freedom of speech in the Ukraine. Zoloyedov has won several awards, including the Gold Sabre Award in the EMEA region in 2020 for a mental health campaign, or the Gold Effie Award in 2018 for his campaign Idea People.
